“This restaurant puts up a solid case for best sushi in Arizona. The $95 omakase is very reasonable for the quality and taste of the sushi. The chef was very knowledgably and kind, answered any questions I threw at him, he was also very funny. I will definitely be returning in the future.”

“WOW!!! I wish I could give this new restaurant 10 stars!! This intimate omakase dining is EXACTLY what arizona needed! This was by far the freshest sushi I’ve ever had in AZ. You need to make a reservation as it only sits 6 people at a time so a very intimate experience. The chef was so kind and you can tell how passionate he is in curating such a wonderful dining experience . The chefs tasting menu is ALOT OF FOOD at a very reasonable price of $85 per person!! My husband and I were stuffed at the end of the meal. Service and ambiance were excellent. I cannot recommend this place enough! We found our local sushi spot!!!!”

“Food was good and fish was fresh and creative sauces. We have over 8-10 courses and the price was fair but the worst part was the rushed service. We had the 6 pm seating and junior sushi chef was rushing us piece after piece with no rest in between. We got our bill at 7:10 and we wanted to finish our drink and he said we have to clean up because we have 7:30 seating. Imagine it was like swallowing each piece whole and then within 60 seconds, he puts another piece on your platter. It would be helpful if they give at at least 90 minutes to each seating time. Perhaps start at 5:30 or 5:45 pm for 1st seating and 8 pm for second seating. There was a party of 4 at the table that was so loud that they made the atmosphere unpleasant. The other couples seated at counter also mentioned how loud and unpleasant to hear screaming talking and laughter throughout the restaurant when basically we had 5 people at the counter being drowned out by 4 people at the table. Though I do think the food was good and flavors were spot on”

“I didn’t make this reservation lightly—I was celebrating something special. I booked the reservation through the Yelp app, which clearly states "Make a reservation — Table for 2," as shown in the image I’ve uploaded. I also uploaded an example from a different restaurant showing the proper way to offer different dining options when taking reservations. I was so excited about this visit that I arrived early and walked around the plaza, eagerly waiting for them to open. Once the restaurant opened, we walked in to find only one waitress and the owner working. The owner insisted on charging the two of us for Omakase. I explained that I had booked a table, not Omakase, and that my wife doesn’t eat sushi. This led to a confrontation that lasted what felt like far too long, completely spoiling what could have been a perfect day. Despite the rocky start, we still ordered quite a bit, hoping to make the best of the experience. Unfortunately, the sushi was average at best, and the up-charges for searing were absolutely ridiculous. In hindsight, we shouldn’t have bothered—it wasn’t worth it. Coming from the restaurant world, I can confidently say that being a great chef doesn’t necessarily mean you can also be the face of the restaurant or handle the business side effectively, even if it’s your own establishment.”
