“Pretentious, staff are a mix of well intentioned but naive, some in the thrall of their ‘famous’ chef, and some downright prickly and unwelcoming. The food, the heart of the dining experience, was pretty terrible. My complaint isn’t that the tasting menu was a list of obscure oddities. Not at all - familiar ingredients prepared in novel ways. But the result was very unfortunate. For the most part it just tasted lousy. And the whole experience was exacerbated by the heavy odor of mildew in the water glass. A paragon of what fine dining should not be.”
