Harris’ is the quintessential steak house experience. We offer dry-aged, mid-western beef, outstanding martinis, and an award winning wine list. In our lounge we have live jazz nightly. Although the lounge is available for more casual dining, we do have a dress code in the main dining room: please, no shorts, t-shirts or sportswear.
“Instantly became my top 5 restaurants ever. This 44 year old establishment boasts top notch service, ambience (live trio soft jazz band multiple sets) and awesome aged steak. What else can you ask for. This is heaven on earth. Nothing pretentious about this place, just authentic homely authentic great food and hospitality. If I lived here, I’d be here weekly. Several cocktails later, I had the sweetbreads with Shitake sauce and the famous Harris steak (an aged New York cut). This is what a perfect restaurant should be. I would travel here for this again - it’s that good.”
“It's my second time visiting here. Best steak. Japanese A5 wagu ribeye. Phenomenal. Oysters are great and shrimp cocktail is great. The service from my waitress Lucy was a 10 out of a 10. Highly recommend this place. I hope to visit San Francisco again sometime. This was my pre-Seahawks celebration meal.”
“Service was phenomenal Food was okay Dessert was pretty Our spinach salad had too many overcooked bacon. It’s nice to have crunchy and salty bacon bits but it’s way too much. Spinach salad was the best part of our dinner but it wasn’t something extraordinary special. In terms of steak, we expected bit more from the $100 porterhouse steak. Shared it with my husband. It seems big but subtracting the bone, it’s about 800g, good amount for two. Our steak was tad dry. We got potato gratin and asparagus for the sides. Both were good but nothing extraordinary. All in all it was a good meal but not a memorable steak. Dessert looked so pretty I wanted to get it as soon as walked in and saw it on others table. However, it was an okay dessert nothing amazing. The best thing on the cake was the strawberry. Perhaps if passion fruit sauce had more flavor, it could’ve been very tasty. Instead of more cream on top, they could’ve topped it with icecream or a sorbet. It seemed as if something was missing.”
“We tried the porterhouse, prime rib, and salmon. The meats were underwhelming and not worth the price. The salmon’s sauce was overly thick and heavy, and the sides were just okay. Presentation could definitely use improvement. Overall, very disappointed with the food. We’ve had much better steaks and overall dining experiences at other steakhouses in the area, including better service. To make matters worse, our table was disturbed while staff attempted to clean nearby. They left a mess and did not offer an apology or clean it up. That said, they did bring out a complimentary mousse for my husband’s birthday, which was an appreciated gesture.”
“wow this place was extremely disappointing. the food was pretty average. steak was ok and the vegetables were almost a joke. peas with shredded carrots? the scalloped potatoes were good but my friends got the baked potato and said it was soooo mid. not only that but the service was lacking so much hospitality. you go to a nice restaurant for the vibes and the service and told them we were there celebrating my friends birthday and they didn’t even wish him a happy birthday or anything. it’s almost like they wanted us to be done and leave. we came in as a group of young adults and didn’t feel like we were well respected as we should have been. on top of that, you add in the price point and it’s basically a full on robbery. should’ve waited to get a spot at HOPR”
