The Story of Josephine’s The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.
“Took my mom and 9 year old daughter here for a special dinner. The service was amazing, despite not having a kids menu they were very willing to accommodate. They even asked the pastry chef for chocolate syrup so they could make her chocolate milk! The food was all amazing, beautifully presented, cooked perfectly, and interesting. The bone marrow chili crisp butter they put on top of the filet was mind blowing! This place was so worth the price tag!”
“Was our first time in for a simple date night and we were not disappointed. The decor and ambiance was awesome. Very Rat Pack cool. Food was amazing! Filet was excellent and the crab cake was the size of a hamburger. Thank you for an awesome first experience!”
“Incredible dining experience. Our waiter was so attentive and friendly. The antelope meat was tender and delicious. It is a must try! The Marilyn Monroe cocktail was amazing! The best lemon meringue in the city!!”
“So we didn’t expect to need plans for Valentine’s Day due to other reasons…but we stumbled on this place and although they were booked we were able to get seats at the bar! The restaurant itself was so beautiful, it reminded me of new york. There was also live music!! It was piano and cello I think. We ordered a salad and the antelope appetizer that my boyfriend wanted to try very badly and then we also ordered the vegan dish which was very good and the salmon birria. My boyfriend actually liked my vegan dish better than his but we liked both. It was such a pleasant experience especially as we didn’t think we could get int any nice place for Valentines!”
“Definitely fine dining. Decent menu, with the ability to hold or ask for things to be removed. Service was amazing! The pork chop was very good. Drinks were strong, creative. If you are looking to impress someone this would do it!”
