We invite you to join us for an elevated dining experience of 90 minutes. Hospitality, quality and locality is of our utmost priority. At Kitsu Nori we lean into the the Japanese art of Kintsugi which is the craft of repairing something that was broken and leaning into true wabi sabi to celebrate character in nature. Our food is provided by our surroundings so we enjoy the spirit that comes with it. We offer handrolls, sushi, aburi, and yaki made with dry aged fish, premium shellfish, and plant based options. Located next to the iconic Rock Of Ages Tattoo parlor on South Lamar, there is parking south of the building. We look forward to meeting you!
“We had such a great experience at Kitsu Nori! The food was incredible, and every hand roll was fresh and full of flavor. The lobster hand roll was easily our favorite—it was absolutely delicious and a must-order. A special thank you to Dondi, who made our visit even better. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Dondi was so friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Kitsu Nori for both the amazing food and exceptional service!”
“Dondi is my man!!!! Felt so welcomed as soon as I walked in the door! He was the only one in house taking care of patrons. He was on top of it. My water was always full and so was my tummy. The food is amazing!! Food I’ve never had before. Heaven. Hand rolls are delicious. The lobster one was my favorite and you can share hand rolls fyi. So fresh. Hidden secret. Hit up happy hour. Love food and drinks.”
“Kitsu Nori was absolutely incredible. Everything we ordered was delicious — even the cold green beans were surprisingly great. The buttered salmon was outstanding, and the hand rolls were some of the best I’ve had, especially the butter lobster, which was genuinely mind-blowing. The Sonoma salad might have been the biggest surprise of the meal. It’s simple — cucumbers and vegetables in a tangy sauce — but somehow they made it unforgettable. We didn’t get to try any of the beef dishes this time, but we’ll definitely be back for them. If they’re anything like the rest of the menu, I’m sure they’ll be amazing. The service was also excellent — our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. On top of that, every dish was presented beautifully. The whole experience delivered on both flavor and presentation.”
“New favorite sushi restaurant! We came on Sunday and then came back today 3 days later because it was so good, we just couldn’t wait to come back. The sake and hamachi crudos and all of the hand rolls we tried are so fresh and the flavors are perfectly balanced where you can taste the quality of the fish while still enjoying a unique flavor. I love that the seaweed is served separately from the fish so the hand rolls/seaweed is super fresh when you’re ready to eat your hand rolls. The lobster hand roll is a perfect finish- really loved the freshness of the lobster and the wonderful butter pairing. Wine selection is excellent- loved the happy hour white wine. Staff is amazing and really enhance the experience. We had Asia as our waitress both times and she really is the best. I didn’t catch the names of the other staff members but everyone was so knowledgeable and welcoming. Atmosphere is perfect for a romantic trendy date night”
“We were very excited to try Kitsu Nori, as Top Roe had been our favorite. With a new concept and location, it did not disappoint. The food was very fresh and the mixture of fruit, mild spice, and raw seafood was delicious. We started with Miso Soup, which had a nice mild toasty flavor. We followed this up with Sunomono. It had a hint of strawberry and fennel balanced by a healthy dose of tangy ponzu sauce and of course the customary seaweed and fresh, crunchy cucumber. It was so well-balanced and delicious we had to order a second serving. We shared around 14 different handrolls. Our favorites were the Lobster, Scallop, Eggplant, Avocado, Hamachi, and Salmon. Some were so delicious we had to get seconds. We also split the Hamachi crudo and the orange supremes added a pleasant surprise. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The interior and the exterior decor were pleasant and comfortable. We will definitely come back!”
