“An excellent sushi place in Vancouver. Sushi Hil delivers on the service, freshness of its fish and overall quality of the dish. The recommended sake was also refreshing with a hint of sweetness. Tried the lunch set and 2 other rolls and really liked all of them. The House Roll, Marinated Negitoro and Aburi sushi were pretty good. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!”

“My buddy got us reservations at Sushi Hil and I feel so grateful to have enjoyed the culinary experience. We ordered the Nagasaki Bluefin Tasting Set, the Maki Set, the Nigiri Set, and a special Miso Cod. The Nagasaki Bluefin Tasting Set was divine. Every piece was so well crafted and tasted perfectly. I highly recommend this! The Maki Set was fantastic and offered a cohesive variety of maki sushi. Each piece was delicate and tasty. I would order this again as well. The Nigiri Set was another winner. The seafood was fresh and, honestly, all the dishes were excellent. The accompanied Miso Soup, Pickled Veg, Daily Salad, and Spinach Gommae were satisfactory, but clearly overshadowed by the main stars. The Miso Cod was as good as any that I have ever had. I love Miso Cod and Sushi Hil did not disappoint. This meal was memorable and I hope to enjoy it again.”

Menu is small and its on the pricier side but worth the value for quality, service and authenticity It's a small and intimate shop with maybe 16 people capacity They're known for bluefin tuna, would highly recommend getting the Bluefin Tasting set Each piece of nigiri melted when you ate it. We got the wagyu, flounder, chu toro and tamago Hottate butteryaki was cooked just rice sitting in butter Ended up spending around $200 for two. Would go back”

“We had such a lovely anniversary dinner at Sushi Hil. Everything from the food to the atmosphere made the night feel so special. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious as always, the service was warm and attentive, and the whole restaurant had such a welcoming, cozy vibe. What made the evening even more memorable was the thoughtful anniversary dessert surprise at the end 🥹 such a sweet touch! You can really tell they care about creating a special experience for their guests, not just serving great food. Definitely one of our favorite places for a date night, and we’ll absolutely be back again ♥️”

“A small and cozy little restaurant with fairly warm and friendly service. The food was very fresh overall, and you could tell the ingredients were handled with care. We ordered the Snow Crab Roll, the Royal Don, and the Butter Scallops. Out of the three dishes, the Royal Don was definitely our favorite and probably one of the best dons we’ve had in Vancouver. The balance of flavors, the freshness of the seafood, and even the cooking temperature and texture were all executed almost perfectly — really hard to find anything to complain about. The Snow Crab Roll and Butter Scallops were good and enjoyable as well, though a bit more standard compared to the Royal Don, which completely stood out. Portion sizes were decent, presentation was clean, and the ingredients tasted high quality. The pricing is slightly on the expensive side, but considering the freshness and overall quality, it still feels worth trying, especially for seafood lovers.”
