“It’s still best to me in Vancouver Downtown Vancouver Been here over decades Chefs highly reputable and professional Shop is decent and not those super high end fancy modern type Great for dating and experience authentic style. Nothing fancy, don’t expect like lighting, games or whatever. They sell “food” “fresh” Chef’s skill. The traditional Sushi Arts It’s fixed I sit along the bar table Chat with chef and view what his skill and explanation of each dishes. Great info on how those food come from and how they are processed and when arrived YVR and how they source it and how rare it is for some dishes He use his experience to work on different circumstances like late delivery or quality from JP local market QA information. Then he decide what to deal with it Quality is high end. No doubt and no complaints Staff are super nice and helpful Love the vipe and feel like back in local Japanese Omakase restaurants It’s pricey but worth it. 6pm and 8pm seatings Make reservations!”
“Sushi JIn is one of the reason I love to visit Vancouver. It is truly one of the best omakases in Canada. The chefs passion for his craft truly shows in every dish.”
“We had an amazing experience at Sushi Jin! It was my boyfriend’s birthday today, and we made a reservation in advance for their omakase. Both the chef and his wife were incredibly warm and friendly, which made the evening even more special. The ingredients were super fresh, and everything tasted delicious. We especially loved their wasabi and homemade ginger — such a nice touch! It was also a pleasure to watch the chef carefully prepare each dish — truly a beautiful and enjoyable experience. Since they only serve six guests at a time, it’s really quiet and private, which made it feel even more special. Highly recommend!”
“My first Michelin omakase experience began at Sushi Jin. The hostess kindly assisted us in savoring the flavors properly, and the chef thoroughly explained the origins and details of the ingredients, allowing us to comfortably enjoy the food. The seasoning of the dishes was neither lacking nor excessive, making it perfect for tasting the flavors of the fish. Each menu item had a special taste, but the top-grade uni had an unprecedented texture and sweetness, and the bluefin tuna melted in the mouth like butter. I was grateful for the chance to taste even the homemade ginger pickles, which were made with great care. It’s a pity that I can only give it five stars. From Waterloo”
“My first experience at this restaurant. The food quality is very good, atmosphere is normal nothing fancy but the service(his wife) was bad. She’s very cheap when asking for refill on tea and gingers and she’s give me that dirty looks and they charge you automatically 18% tips. At the end it’s NOT worth $370 per person.”
