“My wife and I were celebrating mother’s days, and just have to say OUTSTANDING!!!! We had for the first course the escargot & beef carpaccio, probably the best escargots we ever had. For main course we order the sirloin & the duck, really generous portion and full of taste, highly recommend to try the duck, we loved the risotto. And, for dessert we got the Valhorna lava cake with pistachio ice cream, just a pice of art!!! Louis was our server, absolutely attentive and friendly, we went above and beyond to make sure my wife’s had an incredible night, now we understand why the restaurant has been open for almost 30 years. Is definitely an example of high quality fine dining We will be back”
“Had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Mistral in Boston tonight. The atmosphere was elegant and warm, the service was professional without feeling pretentious, and every dish was beautifully prepared. The Pan Roasted Halibut with asparagus risotto and jumbo lump crab was exceptional — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Tuna Tartare was fresh and balanced, and even the sides were done thoughtfully. You can really feel why Mistral has remained one of Boston’s classic restaurants for so many years. A perfect place for a special evening, birthday dinner, business dinner, or just to enjoy truly refined food. Highly recommend.”
“Officially my go to restaurant in Boston ! First of all, Savad, our waiter, took great care of us. He even split our dishes since we were two sharing, which was a really nice touch. The food quality was absolutely amazing, honestly so good. Here are some of the top dishes we got to try, and make sure to save room for the bread, I personally kept going back to it the whole time lol. The vibe was very cosy and classy, with a nice romantic feel to it.”
“A wonderful place for a gathering, with a warm atmosphere and a light, pleasant aroma in the air. The restaurant offers a well-balanced take on French cuisine: the duck is beautifully done, tuna tartare is amazing, the lamb rack is slightly too gamey, and the desserts could use a bit more flair. Still, it’s worth a try!”
“Good but not great. Service was fairly slow for Tuesday evening and not very attentive. I was actually quite surprised that they were out of many items on the menu, especially since it was earlier in the evening (tuna, tartare, and apparently sparkling water we’re not available). The branzino was ok but overly flavorful. Truffle fries were decent.”
