“Ah! Love this place! We’re from Florida and tried the Tampa location which was awesome as well, but this particular visit was extra special as our waiter Ezra was SOOOOO kind and such a sweet soul! He was so attentive and really made our experience 5/5 stars! Give this man a raise! Thank you so much Ezra! The Sinigang and ube martini made my Filipina heart so happy!”

“Had an awesome dinner at Sunda. The vibe was great — low lights, good energy, and the music was perfect. Upbeat but not too loud. Our server Nolan was fantastic and absolutely nailed the recommendations. The crispy rice spicy wagyu, Great White sushi, and Philippine short rib were all 10/10. Seriously, everything he suggested hit. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Definitely coming back.”

“Really enjoyed the brussel sprouts, spicy tuna sushi, seschwan chicken, and pork belly bao dumpling. Panda roll was good as well. Crazy rice was very spicy. Crunchy Surf and turf roll was not one I'd order again - I found out bacon on sushi is not my thing. Sweet potato caterpillar was also not a roll I'd get again. Noodles were just ok. Shishito peppers were surprisingly tasty.”

“Fantastic experience from start to finish! We stepped into the restaurant to amazing aromas and a beautiful ambiance and were greeted by a friendly host and seated almost immediately. We had made a reservation using Open Table, which was also a very pleasant experience! Next, ou servers Le and Ethan were promt, attentive, and very friendly! Their service throughout the meal was exceptional. The food was superb! The menu is fantastic, and we enjoyed the Dim Sum Korean fried chicken - soooo amazingly good! Next we had the Beef Lemomgrass Lollipops, also amazing. Our entree was a superbly prepared, mouth-watering Inasal Chicken. Unbelievably succulent juicy, and flavorful. I would travel to Chicago just to dine at Sunda New Asian in Chicago. It was that good! One last shout out to Le and Ethan for the amazing and friendly service! 5 stars for sure!”

“Probably won’t return. A chichi Asian fusion restaurant. We’ve – crunch hamachi – sticky rice? – pork belly – crispy pata – pork shank Food is 3/5: the yellowtail is average, and the rice is so-so (do they use sticky rice?); the best part is the chili garlic crisp. Pork belly is wonderful, and the shank is tasteless – good that I kept the soy sauce from the sushi. The decor is 4/5: I really like the big door (?)- framed mirror on the exposed brick wall. Continuing with the setting, I noticed Rona stem, Churchill tableware, and fake flowers outside. At this price range, please use the real thing. Especially since this time of year, the tulips are blooming everywhere in the city—so real flowers do survive in the Windy City. A little side story – they pushed their buns three times when we didn’t order. The first time was from the couple sitting next to us at the bar. I understand. The second time, they left it for us. We told her it isn’t for us. The third time, a young lady came to announce that our buns are coming – the only problem was that we ordered crisp pata.”
