“We had a really great first experience here. The highlights of our dining were the lamb ragú and the espresso martini. Our server was professional and knowledgeable. Nicholas, the manager, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and taken care of. We will definitely be back!”
“A truly great experience. We got off of the airport train and pulled our luggage here to eat. It was the happy hour menu but was quite good. The Focaccia, Burrata and Salsiccia were our “appetizers” followed by the Roman Pasta Flight that we shared. Everything was delicious. House white and red wines were very enjoyable but the rose was the only disappointment with little flavor. Late for the Train is a good cocktail choice.”
“Everything was perfect. Came to tavernetta to celebrate our 6 years and customer service was very top tier by the entire staff. Love the ambiance. Had great food. We had the Burrata with foccacia - soooo good. So refreshing and not at all heavy. Carpaccio - highly recommend. This was really good too. We paired it with the Burrata and foccacia and we enjoyed this. Husband ordered the lamb ragu and I had the mushroom gnocchi. I did enjoy his lamb more but I always enjoy gnocci pasta. Both pasta made in house and fresh.”
“We were able to get a reservation for dinner at Tavernetta and it was delightful. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable on the menu. Atmosphere was calm and private. We started with the focaccia and burrata, then I got the pappardelle and my husband the rigatoni, both plates were very well executed, pasta was fresh and all flavours were very rich and well balanced. For dessert we got the semifreddo and it was to die for. Definitely recommend for a date night.”
“We found Tavernetta via the Chase Sapphire OpenTable benefit program. Service was good, location was great and the inside of the restaurant was beautiful. Food portion to price ratio was laughable. We started with the $22 Burrata, which does not come with bread. If you want any bread, at this Italian restaurant, that'll be another $8 which then makes it a $30 appetizer. If the $8 small portion of bread isn't enough, they'll happily charge you for more. Just ridiculous, make it $30 and be done with it. The seasonal $36 lasagna was quite unremarkable, and small. The 'Francobolli' ravioli was good, but small. One other small note, the restaurant charges a 2% 'employee wellness fee' on each check. On the surface I don't have any issue with this, but if you're going to charge these prices for this little amount of food, you can take some of that margin and not make it the customer's problem. You can afford to eat the cost. If we didn't get a large credit via the Chase program, I would have complained about the portion sizes. No chance we would come back here and pay full menu price.”
