With an imaginative yet approachable menu created by the gifted Jason Paluska, The Lark celebrates everything found around Santa Barbara County – wineries, farms, ocean and natural beauty. The stunning design strives to connect to the past and the future, using discovered objects from the past and blending them with modern, urban and industrial materials to spectacular effect.
“Mmmmm!!! So delicious and incredible ambiance. My husband and I went here for dinner and had an incredible time. The menu is seasonal. We ordered 4 items for the two of us and it was more than enough food. The ribs were incredibly tender and the meat completely fell off the bones. Truly cooked to perfection. Everything we tried was fun and vibrant. Highly recommend.”
“Some of the most amazing food I’ve ever had in my life and the atmosphere is amazing. The Cornbread and Beet salad are beyond delicious. We had our wedding reception here and the Lark did not disappoint.”
“Amazing flavors - the Tilefish fisherman's catch paired perfectly with the tutti frutti cauliflower chowder and the line caught tuna crudo was buttery smooth, went so well with the tangerine and agrumaro orange olive oil! Service was impeccable as well. I wish they still had the feta shishito peppers on the menu, those were always extremely good in the past. Would definitely return!”
“I really like this restaurant. The food was great and so was the ambiance. We ate outside and enjoyed our dinner tremendously. Started with the sashimi and worked our way through five or so dishes. While I liked this place a lot, you should note that the place is a lot more expensive than the menu indicates. In a way it is a tapas place. The dishes are small. Even the “main” courses are not a meal. So two people probably need four or five dishes. It adds up quickly. If you can handle the price, the place is great (and romantic).”
“Honestly did not get the hype. We ordered the corn bread, beet salad, shrimp toast and a pasta with snap peas. The corn bread was the winner by a landslide. All of the entrees were mediocre, needing salt or spice. The shrimp toast was the biggest disappointment. Three shrimps on top of a soggy piece of bread in a sea of sauce that just tasted like tortilla soup. I appreciate the farm-to-table aspect but personally would not return.”
