The Ocean House Restaurant

“What a treat.... From when the valet parked my car until he return it to me, was beyond polished. My seat was looking right at the ocean. The menu was extensive and mouthwatering. I started with a drink while I perused the offerings. I settled on Caesar salad and Mafalde de Mare. It was as wonderful as it sounds. Just enough spice with plenty of seafood. For dessert I tried the Toasted Coconut Key Lime Pie. So good. And with that I had an espresso martini with tequila and orange.... I want another right now!! They also offer a variety of sides to accompany your entree.”

“This was our first time trying out Ocean house. This place lived up to all my expectations and more for my wife for a special dinner. The staff was very polite and attentive from the moment you walk through the door and the views right on the water are also incredible. Would recommend a later dinner to enjoy dinner as sun goes down. The food was fresh and very flavorful. My wife had the halibut which was probably the best out of everything we had it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had the seafood pasta which was also very good and the portions size was very fair. The dessert was on the pricey side but was still good. Certainly will attend in the future and highly recommend for a nice date-night dinner.”

“We chose Ocean House for our birthday dinner on the last night of our vacation, and it was the perfect way to celebrate. Coincidentally, both my boyfriend and I share the same birthday (5/29), so we wanted somewhere special, and Ocean House definitely delivered. One thing that surprised us was how much larger the restaurant is on the inside than it appears from the outside. The restaurant was packed, but it never felt overcrowded, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion. I had the pork chop, and my boyfriend ordered the filet. Both meals were absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly. The food quality, presentation, and flavors were outstanding. While this is definitely a pricey restaurant, it's well worth it for a special occasion or memorable night out. I made our reservations about a month before our trip, and I'm glad I did because the restaurant was very busy. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better. To top off the evening, we shared the strawberry cheesecake dessert, and it was heavenly - easily one of the best desserts we've had in a long time. A helpful tip for first-time visitors: parking is valet only, so be sure to bring some cash for the valet tip. From the food to the service and atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely return if we're ever back in the Dennis Port area.”

“We went to the Ocean House tonight for a birthday dinner, and boy were we impressed. We did the prefix with wine pairing, and every single detail was perfection. We started with a cocktail while our small bite and first course were served. The first bite was a chef choice crab bite with caviar, followed by a piece of naan bread with a cheese blend and homemade ranch sauce. These were small bites but perfect for the 5 course prefix. Next our wines paired with appetizers came. I got the sashimi, and my husband the fig and burrata salad. Both were incredible with the flavors blended perfectly. The wines were not too sweet, not too acidic, but basically perfect. After the appetizer we had a palette cleanser of mango sorbet which tasted more like mango than any fruit we have ever had. The main entree was next with another incredible wine pairing. I had the lacquered sea bass which was the best fish preparation I have ever had- it was sweet and buttery, and a perfectly cooked (not overdone). My husband had the lobster truffle tagliatelle which had just the right amount of truffle to not over power. We finished the evening with dessert wines and a the “upscale smores” and lemon dome. Again the portions were perfect, and we left feeling like this was a beautiful, perfect evening. This was a splurge but so so worth it. Head to the Ocean House for your next celebration! “Exquisite, visited Labor Day weekend, inaugural trip to Cape Cod/Marthas Vineyard. The service was superb, staff were very attentive and personable. The food and drinks were wonderful. The best tuna tartare I’ve ever had. I could eat it daily. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and I was able to pre arrange for an individual cake for my husband and I. Perfect end to a perfect trip. Anytime I’m in Cape Cod this place is a must for the summer. My only wish was that we came earlier for the view.”
