“Fantastic food! I don’t believe there’s a bad dish on this menu which says incredibly lot. The burgers are fantastic, but I particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Sit outside if at all possible. The patio is unbelievable, but the inside is also really nice. Lots of light and not too loud. Get reservations in advance, though. It is popular. Highly recommend – five stars!”

“The only reason I gave it 5 stars is because I couldn't give it 6. Ordered some chicken wild rice soup and it was infused with rainbow carrots and had a great finish with a hint of lemon aroma. My wife ordered a salad with poached pears. They were fantastic and had a kick of spice to finish. Personally I enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly and so we're the fries. They also serve a craft brew that I had called Minny-Sconsin which was great. For sure one of my top dining destinations.”

“Located on the main level of the historic St. James hotel in charming downtown Red Wing, Scarlet offers upscale/casual dining with sweeping views of the river. Elevated menu items and tasteful touches like custom glassware and cutlery add a nice touch. Staff is friendly and dining room offers beautiful mahogany and red finishes for an inviting feel. Large menu with surely something for everyone!”

“I loved this place. We had a chance of rain the day we went - Table of ten, so we had to stay inside. However our table was made with broken pieces of pottery with epoxy over it. Very cool table. Tons of fresh flowers throughout restaurant. Large menu options, each dish very eye pleasing and delicious. Save room for the desserts…..so good, all of them. Great service and delicious food. We will be back.”

“Good food but not overwhelming. the view was nice but again nothing spectacular. Overall I’d say it’s a solid place for Red Wing.”
