While the venue has changed, the idea remains the same: really good food cooked over wood fires, in smokers and over charcoal. Don’t let the rustic setting fool you — the focus is very much on creating a feast that will knock your socks off. The menu is created fresh each day, guided by the tastes of our guests, the weather and the very best produce we can find. Come hungry. There’s a lot of food. This isn’t about delicate little courses with a drizzle of this and a foam of that. Instead, expect a table filled with generous dishes designed for sharing. Think Christmas dinner gone mad. Supper begins at 7:30pm, though you’re welcome to arrive from 7pm to settle in with a drink. We cater for both meat eaters and vegetarians, although we’re unfortunately unable to offer vegan menus. Please note that seating is communal, with guests sharing a table of up to twenty people. The setting is deliberately rustic — if you’re looking for crisply ironed uniforms and waiters fawning over you, this probably isn’t the place. But if you love great food, good company and a lively table, you’ll feel right at home. It’s £60 per head. Drinks from the bar are extra
“So much more than just a cafe! Super attentive and friendly staff provide a warm welcome and make you feel at home. The place has a lovley ambience whether you are for the daytime café (excellent coffee and cakes), or an evening meal. We loved the communal Sunday lunch where everyone sat at a long table while we were served delicious food. Highly recommend!”

“Great if you have kids, toys etc to play with. Lots of activities to attend as community hub. Kate works hard to support the area and there is also a free food bank there too. Really reasonably priced, great breakfast with everything bought locally for £6.50!”
