Mazomanie, WI · $$
The Old Feed Mill’s rich history dates back to pre-Civil War 1857, the year the Milwaukee & Mississippi Railroad Company arrived from Milwaukee, platted Mazomanie, and continued its drive to Prairie du Chien to create the first rail connection between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River system. Think about it. What a big deal that must have been! Today The Old Feed Mill restaurant has been bringing local farmers' flavors to the table for 26 years.
“Our first time and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious and waitstaff were attentive and polite. Loved the atmosphere of it being housed in a former old flour mill. Beautiful fragrant old lilac bush, by the entrance was in bloom when we visited in Memorial Day wknd. Pulled pork mac and cheese and the mushroom strudel were surprisingly delicious!”
“Great off the beaten path choice for dinner. Nice place with some nice things to purchase.”
“We had my daughter's wedding reception at the Old Feed Mill. They were so accommodating and helpful. The food was yummy! We chose the Backyard BBQ. The service was fantastic. We had the week to set up which made for a very relaxing, stress-free pre-wedding set up. Nancy was so kind! I was so pleased! Would choose The Old Feed Mill for a future venue for sure!”
“There was a buffet with several meat and vegetable options as well as salad and homemade rolls and 🏠 desserts. It was wonderful. The building is an old mill and very quaint with a gift shop with homemade home goods and jellies and jams. Atmosphere is fantastic, service excellent. Highly recommend The Old Feed Mill.”
“Warm, friendly atmosphere. Waitress was amazing, described everything wonderfully, checking to see how everything was several times, if we needed anything else. Even helped with the wine list, able to sample a couple before choosing a glass. A lot of choices and everything from scratch. The prices are on the higher side, but so worth it!!”
