“I went twice during a business trip. Once with a colleague, once alone with a book. Lively atmosphere, rather cozy on the inside. But the outside is so much more charming. You'll have to indulge the background noise from traffic, because the terrace is so lovely and worth it. Hanging lights set the tone, green accents complete the vibe. Very friendly and attentive service, explaining wines and dishes as queried. Both times, I had great experiences. The food is researched, with an edge and identity, and very well executed! Overall, on my shortlist for the next time I'm in Vancouver!”
“Cute and cozy little restaurant that serves amazing food! We ordered items that the staff recommended like the schnitzel and the bird’s nest potatoes and I think you should also try them because it was so flavourful. We also had some Aperol Spritz to wash everything down and the price was fair for the amount and the quality of the food. If you’re ever in the west end area, definitely pay them a visit!”
“Here’s your polished review: The Red Accordion – Cozy, Unique, and Full of Character During my visit to The Red Accordion, what stood out immediately was the atmosphere. The space is cozy, full of character, and features a very distinctive design that makes it feel different from many other places in the area. It has a unique charm that gives the restaurant its own identity. The food was good and well-prepared. The menu offers interesting options, and overall the quality met expectations. Pricing is slightly on the higher side compared to similar spots, though this may be reflective of the ambiance and concept. Service was acceptable, though not exceptional. I personally found the interaction to be somewhat neutral rather than warm. The servers did their job, but the experience didn’t feel particularly engaging or welcoming. That said, this was just my experience and may not reflect every visit. Overall, it’s a unique and character-filled spot that offers a different dining experience. Definitely worth visiting if you appreciate ambiance and something a little out of the ordinary.”
“The Red Accordion offers an outstanding and thoughtfully executed experience. The service is friendly, efficient, and highly knowledgeable. The cocktail program is a true highlight—both creative and expertly balanced, with beautiful, interactive presentations that add an element of surprise and elevate the overall experience beyond just the drink itself. The seasonal food is equally impressive: generous, deeply satisfying, and made with fresh ingredients that are carefully prepared and full of flavor. The ambience is quirky and inviting, with vintage glass lighting fixtures, mismatched furniture, and a cozy, whimsical cottage-like feel. Seating ranges from Victorian-style upholstered chairs to plush velvet sofas, creating an intimate, at-home atmosphere. A standout spot that excels in both creativity and execution.”
“This place has an amazing decoration and vibe unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped back 50 years, such a unique atmosphere. We actually found this restaurant by accident, and I’m so glad we did. Just make sure to book a spot in advance because it gets busy. We ordered the half roasted chicken, roast pork pasta, and a burger. All of them were delicious and full of flavor. The only thing to note is that, because they were very busy, there was a 2-hour time limit for each table. Everything was fantastic! Highly recommended.”
