A small northern kitchen with a lot of heart, creativity and desire to pair food with cocktails and beer.
“We stumbled across Woodcutters which was packed with both locals and tourists. Absolutely 10/10 in terms of service, food, and speed. The drinks are spectacular as they're brewed in house. I was skeptical in ordering the butter chicken as I grew up with an East Indian community, but I was splendidly surprised by how delicious the butter chicken that Woodcutters made. I can confidently say that this was the butter chicken I ever had. Thank you Meghan for reccomending the amazing IPA and the butter Chicken. Thank you Thea for taking care the rest of our table and providing the spectacular service you brought. As well, this restaurant is female operated with all the employees female staffed (aside from the brewmaster). I visited Yukon for work, but I will definitely come back for the butter chicken and the overall service.”
“This place is awesome. We went here three nights in a row. The smoked old fashioned is incredible. The banh mi sandwich is delicious (even the gluten free version, somehow!). The caesar salad is phenomenal. The staff are terrific. The vibes are immaculate. Do yourself a favor and come here for dinner or drinks or both.”
“Historical building, local hangout. Good but the portions were quite small, could do with a bigger quantity of side to leave dinners full.”
“Great vibe at Woodcutters. The decor and charm is there, however the service is not. Our server split time between waiting tables and bartending. She obviously favors being a bartender and was quite good at it. However, service at the tables was non just not there. Waited way too long for our food. When it arrived, half the order was wrong, and our server never checked on us during our time there. 90 minutes of disappointment. Had hoped for a better time.”
“The service was extremely long! It took us almost 2 hours to receive our food. At least it was hot... My friend who is gluten free, egg free and dairy free asked for a gluten free pork banh mi without mayo. It thankfully arived without mayo but it also arived without sweet and sour pickled carrots and daikon, which was very upsetting. When we asked if there was mayo in our tacos the waitress whent to check and then came back saying that it was gluten free and dairy but that did not answer our question. We asked her about it again but she did not seem to understand what we were asking. She then asked us if it would make us feel less worried if she whent to ask again very rudely. She again came back and told us it was all good without precising if it was indeed egg free.”
