“This is not our first time at XIX, but this time I took pictures just for this review. This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites in Edmonton. We come here as often as we can because the food is fantastic and the service incredible. The drinks are quite awesome as well! Yes, it is a bit more pricey compared to other restaurants, but the quality of the food is out of this world and worth every penny.”

“Have wanted to come here for years and finally took the plunge when friends invited us out to this lovely location. A warm, soothing atmosphere with dark wood panelled walls. Found the ambience soothing and relaxing. Our waitress was extremely attentive and served us excellently! The food was really a special experience to keep in our memories for a long time to come. Beautifully curated plates delivered to our table hot and ready to enjoy. The gentlemen raved about their steaks with crusted goat cheese atop, that they both could only speak good things about! Enjoyed right to the last bite. The ladies were thoroughly satisfied with their salmon and chicken truffle dishes, salmon done succulently, not dried out, to the customer’s request. Generous portions too so no one left even close to hungry! Do book your spot here and enjoy an evening of some of the best food Edmonton has to offer.”

“What an incredible experience! The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful with menu and wine selections. While the menu is somewhat limited, I believe this can be aPositive aspect, as too many options can be overwhelming. We sampled several appetizers, all of which were excellent. The background noise was also pleasantly low, allowing for enjoyable conversations at our table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.”

“An excellent restaurant with excellent service. The interior is very elegant, beautifully designed, and made from high-quality materials. I really like it. Regarding the menu and selection, there's a fairly wide selection of food and drinks. The bison tartare was delicious. My wife and I really enjoyed the lamb and duck dishes. The presentation was superb. I also really enjoyed the espresso martini cocktail. The waiters were pleasant and polite, and they knew the story behind the restaurant's name. The prices are a bit high and the restaurant is a bit noisy, but it's worth it. Anyway I highly recommend this place. It's undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Edmonton. I also want to thank the owner and the team at Restaurant Nineteen for a wonderful welcome.”

“Went to XIX to celebrate a birthday with a friend and overall had a good experience, although there were definitely a few things that stood out. I had the beef tenderloin, which was extremely flavorful and cooked beautifully. The reduction it was served with was honestly delicious, and the carrots were great as well. My only complaint with the dish was the portion of potatoes. I think I got about three baby potatoes on the entire plate, which felt a bit skimpy considering the price point. We also shared the crab rangoon dip and that was phenomenal. Super flavorful, rich, and the portion size on that was actually very generous. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. My friend ordered the short rib. While the meat itself was good, short rib is already a fairly rich and fatty cut, so serving it with a deep fried onion ring instead of a potato felt a little heavy. I think the dish would balance better with some type of potato accompaniment instead. The sauce was tasty as well, though slightly sweeter than I personally prefer. For dessert, I had the mango cheesecake, which was really good, fresh, and light. That said, I’d describe it more as a mousse-style dessert than a traditional cheesecake texture-wise. The biggest downside of the evening was definitely the kitchen speed. We had a 7 PM reservation and didn’t receive our food until almost 9 PM. By that point we were absolutely starving, and eating that late unfortunately triggered reflux for me afterward. Service itself was good and everyone was friendly, but the kitchen timing really needs improvement. The food quality is there, though, and with a few tweaks I think the experience could be excellent.”
