“Their brewed coffee tastes great, and I enjoyed their cornbread benny so much! The cornbread is to die for! 😭 Customer service is straightforward and friendly, not overbearing. I appreciate a friendly service without having to do some small talk. The place feels elegant, too, perfect for date nights. 👌”

“This is the second time I've been here. The first time I go the Cornbread benny, peameal bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise, chimichurri, house potatoes. Today I had Farmers breakfast, maple rosemary sausage, eggs, blistered tomatoes, house potatoes, sourdough toast. My favorite was the Benny. That was a 10 outta 10. The farmers was okay. Potatoes were crispy and delicious. The sausage was amazing and very tasty. The sourdough was dense but not sour. It has a smokey and butterfly taste which is good too. My egg was a little over cooked and not super runny but it's not a big deal. The chorizo Verde is very good. 8 out of 10. Flavorful, good size portion. I wish the chorizo was seasoned a bit more but together all the flavors are fantastic. The hollandaise is the star and mixes well with the potatoes, egg and veggies. Vibes is good. It does get loud when the place gets full. Nice and cozy, well decorated. The staff is friendly and the service is FAST.”

“Incredible brunch experience at May! Everything from the atmosphere to the presentation was flawless. The space is modern, bright, and welcoming — perfect for a relaxed weekend brunch. We ordered a few dishes to share, and every single one was a hit: 🍳 The breakfast platter had perfectly seasoned potatoes, fluffy scrambled eggs, smoky sausage, and thick sourdough toast. 🍗 The crispy fritters were golden and crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and beautifully topped with sour cream and microgreens. 🍅 The shakshuka-style dish was rich, flavorful, and paired perfectly with their grilled sourdough. Service was friendly, food came out hot and fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the details — from plating to flavor balance. Highly recommend May to anyone looking for upscale comfort food done right in Edmonton. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Haven't been here since they took over from Canteen. Good service here and nice vibes. However, didn't feel the brunch we all had was particularly impressive unfortunately.”

“This was the worst meal I have ever experienced in Edmonton. Three dishes were burnt, and the food was either undercooked or overcooked, lacking any real flavour. I also informed the server about an allergy at our table, yet the kitchen either ignored it or forgot, leading to an allergic reaction. More than half of the food we ordered was left untouched. When we declined to have it boxed, a manager should have been notified. We paid our bill, but we will never return. While I understand that food costs are high and profit margins are low (I’ve been an owner in the food industry for over 23 years), it is unacceptable for a restaurant to serve burnt, stale, or poorly cooked food. We intentionally made our reservation for a later time on Father’s Day to avoid the rush. We were the only table in the restaurant, which meant the food should have been perfect, as we were the only table they were cooking for at that moment.”
