From the 1970s, members of the Yuzuki team started their careers in basic positions in restaurants located in Tokyo, Osaka, and Ehime. After moving to Canada in the early 90s, they were offered head chef positions in well-known restaurants in Toronto for decades. With forty years of experience working in the Japanese cuisine industry, our chef team demonstrated their talent, passion, and craftsman spirit. Yuzuki is so grateful for having our amazing staff bring our customers the most authentic and attentive dining experience.
“Hidden gem! Fish were so fresh, so good, very balanced! Good variety too for their premium set, not just your typical fish that a lot of other restaurants r doing. They r run by Japanese and I felt like I was teleported back to Japan for the menu!”
“Higher quality sushi restaurant where the chefs work behind a counter you can sit behind, and the waitresses all wore yukata. Reminds me of a more traditional sushi joint in Tokyo. Fish quality is definitely good. Had the maguro don with all 3 level of tuna, and the fish and rice were both prepared well. The temperature was very pleasing and fish melted quite well on the bed of rice.”
“Visited on a Saturday lunch time and was greeted by friendly and efficient staff. I was surprised there wasn't so many tables occupied, so I had my choice of sitting next to the sushi display. I was served some nice tea whilst I waiting for my order to arrive. I received a small side salad and miso soup which was nice. The order of pork cutlet (katsu) on a bed of rice was large. The don had an accompanying egg with the cutlet and all was full of flavour. The price was reasonable given the location of the restaurant. The wash room facilities were well maintained as was the restaurant.”
“I absolutely love Yuzuki! Every time I come here, the food is incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared — you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The sushi is delicate, the flavors are well-balanced, and the presentation is always thoughtful. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome, which adds so much to the experience. The atmosphere is calm and authentic, perfect for enjoying Japanese cuisine without feeling rushed. It has quickly become one of my favorite places in Toronto, and I always look forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Japanese food!”
“It’s rare that for me to rate a sushi restaurant this low but I feel like I’m obligated to warn people in advance. So Yuzuki has pretty nice atmosphere it’s small but nice and quiet, the service is quite friendly too but it’s the food that’s the issue. The side dishes are okay like palatable but their main items like the sushi, nigiri, and sashimi have major flaws. For the sushi and nigiri you can see they are not well rolled like one can probably make a better one themselves if they go to a sushi class because these fall apart when you touch them. Also for reasons I do not know their sushi tastes bitter. Their sashimi and uni are also somewhat cold which creates a weird texture imbalance with their rice (very hard). Overall the quality of the food is very mediocre and might be worse than that you find in a food court sushi which is not the experience you’d expect with a $300 bill for two you can get much better in Toronto.”
