Presented by BCB3, Sushi @ Temple Records, a subterranean sushi den, where Sushi Chef Kenta Katagai serves nigiri, moriawase, sashimi, and makimono around a custom 22-seat sushi bar made of Hinoki wood imported from Japan.
“We went to the sushi bar downstairs for a birthday dinner. You can pick your items à la carte or choose from some sushi moriawase options. The rice here is fantastic with the right texture and flavor. The vibe here is intimate with a nice soundtrack in the background. Our meal ended with a nice tuna birthday treat. Great experience!”
“Amazing time celebrating a birthday, the staff were all so kind and welcoming, wrote a little happy birthday note, gave us a “birthday cake” of tuna on rice, and made our experience a great one! The fish is the best I’ve had in Boston and I will 100% be coming back - the prices really aren’t bad for the quality of fish you’re getting and if you space it out and listen to recommendations of your server you will leave full and happy! The only thing to note is downstairs it was very very quiet which I think is a nice ambiance for the sushi bar but also could hear other peoples conversations, so maybe turning the music up a little bit downstairs! Could’ve been because it was a Tuesday night and more of a chill vibe though. Overall 10/10 experience :)”
“Sushi @ Temple Records is an absolute gem. The service was flawless from start to finish, and the music and ambiance didn't miss. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the sheer variety and quality of fish is unmatched – even compared to top-tier sushi spots in NYC and LA, where we were visiting from. And the chef: Boston is lucky to have talent of this caliber. A world-class experience worth every bite.”
“Pristine and authentic sushi using the highest quality ingredients. Sushi bar has cozy and intimate vibe with rotating music that complements the food and setting. Hospitality is consistent and top notch.”
“Excellent food! Chef Kenta served his creation one by one with the omakase menu. It was a very special experience. Would recommend to lengthen the service a bit as it was super fast and done within an hour. Definitely worth a try!”
