“The mussels were out of this world and the filet was tender, moist and juicy and may have been the best we’ve ever tasted. A must stop when visiting Flagstaff!”
“Unique menu options as well as classic dishes Excellent service Nice wine list Everything was very very good Small restaurant Nice atmosphere I'd recommend reservations”
“Almost everything was amazing, and I think this was the best meal we've had in Arizona. - Aubergine frites: we started with this appetizer and it took us completely by surprise. HOW do you get an eggplant to do that?! One of the top 3 appetizers we've ever had in the U.S. - Pork belly with poblano fritters: the fritters + cranberry glaze stole the show here. The belly was tasty, too, but I wished it was just a bit more tender, a bit less chewy. - Shrimp & grits: the guajillo sauce is spicy, but tempered so well by the grits and the lime. My suggestion would be to lean into the mix of textures with more crunchy hominy and bit less of grits. - Duck breast: good in a "this is about what I'd expect a duck breast to be at a place like this" kind of way. So, if you're really looking for duck, order it, but I don't think it's the most exciting thing on the menu. - Seared scallops: very well executed, a great balance between the delicate scallops and the mix-it-all-together deliciousness of the pancette/romesco/potato/pepitas. Great stuff. This was a good amount to share between two pretty hungry people. We could have ordered one more or one less of the smaller plates and been very satisfied, depending on the day. But then, of course, there's dessert. The staff seems to unanimously recommend the coffee cake, for good reason, but we decided to try all three. - Basque cheesecake: good, but misses the mark. The presentation loses the contrast between inner, outer, and upper portions of a quintessential basque cheesecake. It's also rather small compared to the other desserts. The lemon curd and strawberry gel are both bright and flavorful, but the dish could use more of both. - Barely baked chocolate cake: the best bites of this were excellent, but I think ours spent a bit too long in the oven - the outside was closer to burnt than 'barely baked'. I'd been excited to try it again, though, to see if that was just a fluke. - Coffee cake: ooooh yeah, that's the good stuff. Definitely order this one. All in all, an excellent dining experience that surprised us with great flavor and high quality throughout.”
“The food here was amazing— pretty penny but worth it! We ordered the 5 course meal, FYSA the price is per person and not split, we didn’t even think to ask about it but it was delicious, just a bit expensive! Service was wonderful and again; food was delicious.”
“Glad we made it back for dinner w friends as we love the cozy environ and enjoyed the very attentive and friendly service… nice upscale vibes without any uppity attitude. Menu is compact with lots of unique touches and quality ingredients. Enjoyed sharing appetizers to mix up the flavors, and found the mussels to be really unique w their flavor profiles, super savory w the right amount of heat. Pasta was fabulous too. Reservations recommended for sure, and u may have to hunt for a place to park, but definitely worth it. Only dish I wouldn’t order again was their take on cheese cake…it was tasty, but a little more like a butter cake and I personally prefer a creamier more traditional style.”
