“My husband & I went here for the first time & really enjoyed the food. We loved the pork belly bowl. Was probably our favorite. Everything we ordered was delicious. The dessert was incredible as well. Would come back again.”

“We had an overall great experience here. We came to celebrate a birthday and were pleasantly surprised with complimentary champagne, which was such a nice touch. The food was great, and while one item was initially forgotten, the staff caught it quickly, brought it out right away, and removed it from our bill—excellent service recovery. Don’t sleep on the green bean drink… it sounds unexpected, but you’ll be very pleasantly surprised!”

“We had a great experience overall at Sum Bar in Greenville. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and creativity of the dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed and stylish — perfect for a night out. The only downside was the service, which was slower than expected. Our server was very friendly and apologetic, but it seemed like she had too many tables to handle. We ran out of water and drinks a few times and had a bit of a wait to settle our bill. Despite that, she did her best to stay upbeat and attentive when she could. I’d definitely go back for the food and ambiance — just hoping for a better staffed night next time!”

“Sum Bar has a nice modern atmosphere in downtown Greenville. We came in expecting authentic dim sum, and were a little disappointed that the food was more dim sum-ish with a modern flare. The food is decent, though it lacked robust flavor, the portions were small, and the prices were high. This is a nice place to go if you want a modern spot in GVL, but if you're expecting real dim sum I would recommend going somewhere else.”
