“We're passing through Jackson and dined at Pulito Osteria midweek. It was pretty busy - reservations are a good idea. We tried two appetizers, the winter salad and a cold white asparagus salad. The winter salad had a nice contrast between the citrus and arugula. The asparagus had quick-pickled onions which gave it a nice bite. My wife loves crab and truly enjoyed the crab linguine, commenting that it tasted really fresh. The orecchiette was also excellent with just the right amount of spice. Service was fine. He was busy, nearly overwhelmed at times, as he had a large table arrive just after we did and also had at least one table out on the patio. Seems like tightening up the geography of the waiters' table assignments is in order. One star knocked off of atmosphere for being noisy (from the number of people in the smallish space). It doesn't seem like the restaurant has done much to dampen room noise. There were times I couldn't hear what my wife was saying from across the table.”

“✨ Dinner at Pulito Osteria did not disappoint 😋 The baby beets were super fresh, the Margherita pizza was classic perfection, and the lobster + filet were both amazing — so tender and flavorful. The mushrooms on the side were addicting 🤤 Ended the night with the warm apple crumble and vanilla ice cream… absolute heaven 🍎🍨 Everything was beautifully done — can’t wait to go back! 💛🍷”

“My wife and I enjoyed dinner last night at Pulito. The atmosphere was great, especially dining outdoors, and the service was friendly and attentive. Most of the food ranged from good to very good, so overall it was shaping up to be a really nice evening. Where things went sideways a bit was when the bill arrived. Our server recommended the Cowboy steak (32 oz) as a daily special. I ordered it, assuming it would fall somewhere in the general range you’d expect for that cut at a neighborhood restaurant. When the check came, the steak was $165, which honestly surprised me. For context, I’ve had comparable steaks at well-known steakhouses like Chops Lobster Bar and Morton’s The Steakhouse, both outstanding restaurants, and paid noticeably less. A similar 32 oz Cowboy steak at Chops was about $139, and a 20 oz Cowboy steak at Morton’s was $79. Even at Del Frisco’s, their 32 oz Tomahawk is $145. In fairness, I didn’t ask the price when the special was mentioned. That said, it probably would help diners if the price of specials was mentioned up front, because seeing one item account for roughly two-thirds of the total bill was definitely a surprise. Aside from that, there were several positives. The garlic bread was excellent, the white asparagus appetizer was very good, and the Chianti was enjoyable. The Caesar salad was okay, and the shiitake mushroom side had good flavor but was unfortunately over-salted. All in all, Pulito has a lot going for it—nice atmosphere, good service, and some very good dishes. But the unexpected pricing on the steak put a bit of a damper on an otherwise enjoyable evening. Lesson learned on my end as well: when a special is mentioned, it’s always worth asking the price.”

“Small Plates, BIG Flavor Some of the best tasting food in Jackson. Every single dish we ordered was genuinely excellent and clearly made with care. We started with the house bread service, followed by the linguine, then the braised short rib with speckled butter beans, and finished with an affogato. Not a miss in the lineup. Portion sizes are on the smaller side, so order more than you think you’ll need. It’s a little pricey for what you get, but the flavor absolutely delivers and stands out compared to most places in town. We did have a reservation and were still seated outside, so heads up there. It was cold, so plan accordingly. That said, the service was great and handled everything well. If you’re going for intentional, elevated, and memorable food, this place is worth it. Just come hungry, dress warm if needed, and enjoy the experience.”
