“We had dinner at C’sons for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. We both had the salmon Oscar special and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection. I also had the wedge salad that was incredible. I believe our servers name was Addie and gave us impeccable service. I will definitely make the drive from Carrollton to eat here again. This level of service and quality of food is a rare find today!”

“We were greeted and then seated immediately, since we had a reservation. This was out first time here and the quiet atmosphere was perfect for celebrating my birthday. Our server was knowledgeable and even offered us extra bread ! I selected the Bone-in Pork Chop, mashed potatoes and green beans...All were very well prepared and tasted fantastic ! My wife chose the Chicken Pot Pie and it too was very good. Since it was my birthday an offer was extended for a free dessert, so we both had a serving of the Chocolate Mouse... It was very good as well ! We do not live in LaGrange, but will recommend C'sons and certainly will return one day.”

“I had really high hopes for this place. We were traveling from NC and looking to have 1 nice family dinner before heading back. Parking was fine, no issues there. When we walked in the atmosphere was nice and we were immediately greeted by the bartender asking how he could help. I explained that we had a reservation and he got us a table right away. Keep in mind it’s a small restaurant and they recommend making a reservation. They have like 6 tables. Which didn’t bother us, just something to keep in mind for someone else. Everything started off really well service wise then we started getting food………………. I think everything we tried was very bland. Started off with the crab dip (it’s just crab flavored, there are no actual pieces of crab. And it has a soufflé texture which was odd to me). We also had the spinach and artichoke dip (the artichokes were like huge and it really didn’t have flavor. Now this could be because I’m used to a more chain spinach and artichoke dip that’s more creamy and more so artichoke pieces). We have the fresh baked bread sticks (I liked it, the rest of my family didn’t. It tasted like garlic bread to us). So at this point we are all looking forward to amazing entrees because the appetizers were not so great. But we don’t complain! We just kept a positive outlook. It’s a dual restaurant and you can order off of both menus. So my husband ordered a chicken salad and the chicken with mashed potatoes (chicken salad & the chicken were both really good. He didn’t like the mashed potatoes, none of us did) Both of my kids had the kids burger with fries. The fries were delicious but the burger meat tasted odd (more meat things later). My littlest brother ordered the pork chop (there were literally zero flavors on that pork chop. It’s served with green beans which were ok and mashed potatoes. Which again, none of us liked the mashed potatoes… they had a veryyyy lemon like taste) My mom and I had the 8oz cast iron filet and this is mostly the only reason I’m writing this review. Both steaks were way too done and that’s honestly not even the worst part (because that can just be fixed, right? Well I sent mine back, she kept hers. And I swear it took like 20 minutes to remake a medium steak. Everyone else was practically done when my plate came out. To add insult to injury my plate came out with none of the asparagus or carrots that I was supposed to have (after waiting all that time). I have to ask for the vegetables that are served with the dish. Thennnnnnn, 10 minutes after getting my new steak that took 20 minutes. I got 3 asparagus ONLY. So then I had to ask for the carrots again. Those took at least another 10 minutes. I was trying to each my steak and potatoes slow so I could try to get at least 1 bite of everything all together! But that was impossible when I’m getting a piece of my meal every 10 minutes. This meal was FIFTY entire dollars and I received it in multiple pieces, many minutes apart from each other and they offered us a free dessert……….. I’ll come back to that in one second! I want to say this was the oddest filet I’ve personally ever had! Usually this is a very smooth cut of meat with no fat but this meat was very tough (I had mine cooked medium) and I cut off some fat pieces. Maybe I don’t know what to expect but I always get filet when we “fine dine” and I’ve never had a cut like that. It was very interesting. Back to the free dessert. It was extremely kind of them to offer the dessert the FIRST time I sent my steak back for being too done. But after my food came out in pieces I feel that the entire meal should have just been taken off. Half of what we’re paying for is experience and service. And that was a horrible dining experience. The manager never came over once. Not to mention they were out of half of the desserts on the menu (ok 2, but there were 5 options sooooo yea). We didn’t complain and we still left a tip because it wasn’t the waiters fault. The kitchen just really should do a better job. The food is too expensive for it to taste bad.”

“The waitresses were nice and came often to our table. At first we were sat in the back of the restaurant which was really dark. I asked the waitress could we move and she with no problem moved into the middle of the room which was so much better. The atmosphere was nice. The building is nice but it can only probably accommodate 30 to 50 people at a time. We were served bread and butter. I think we would have enjoyed it more if the bread was warm. My food which was herb grilled chicken breast fried potato with cheese and arugula. I give it a 6 out of 10. The chicken was seasoned perfectly,but $30 was high for what I had. My husband had a steak, green beans and potatoes. He stated that his steak needed more season but it was still good. The potatoes needed to be cooked just a tad bit more and the green beans were okay. His food was $40. They only offered three desserts. We chose a lemon desert. I'm not sure of the name. It was the size of three tablespoons of pudding in a very small bowl for $13. The dessert was some sort of pudding that had a glazed top. It was for sure not worth $13, not even five. My husband said that it tasted good to him. It was just okay to me. Not to my liking. We shared a strawberry lemon martini which was perfect and suggested by the waitress.It was also $13. Our total was right at $100. I am assuming that you are paying for the location and maybe the ambiance more so than the food. The wasn't bad but very overpriced.”

“It was ok. The service was good. Way over priced for what you get though. The duck was cooked well, but had clearly been frozen. When the entree arrived, there was so much water and grease that the grits were like soup. The goat cheese grits had a good flavor, but it was an absolute mess. On the other side of the plate, the green beans had a good flavor, but were not drained leaving a large amount of cooking oil there as well. For $30, I expected much better. They were also out of several menu items. Pics of all the oil and grease mixed in with the grits.”
