Le Reve Pâtisserie & Café is a French restaurant in the Wauwatosa neighborhood of Wauwatosa.
“Le Reve is a French restaurant located in the Tosa Village. Very cool vibe in here, feels “upscale,” but not overly so. There are two levels here — I sat in the upper level. About the food: The tenderloin was so tender and juicy. The black pepper aioli really brought the whole sandwich together, and that baguette — toasted perfectly and was crazy fresh. The frites were freshly made, and came in a paper cone! The chocolate raspberry dome was great: It was even layered with pistachio (a fave of mine)! I’ll be back because that dessert case was absolutely CALLING MY NAME.”
“Le Reve was amazing. Went there to rekindle an old relationship. The drinks and food were delicious. The service was attentive. I have a sulfate allergy so I can't have anything with wine and they were very accommodating and knew what to recommend on the menu. Shout out to the manager Zoe for the free dessert! Second date is in the books and we are totally planning on coming back here at some point to try to rest of the menu. Had escargot, salmon, and the ravioli with shrimp. One of the desserts was a mousse and another dessert I can't remember the name of. I had a lemoncello drink that you can't miss!”
“Absolutely incredible experience at Le Rêve! Came here for a Saturday brunch without a reservation, and luckily we were able to snag a couple of seats at the bar. Definitely a popular spot so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you want a table. We ordered the Croissant et Lox and the Breakfast Hash, both of which were amazing and hit the spot. Everything was hot, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We then tried three of their pastries: Paris Brest, Opera Torte, and Tarte au Citron. These were absolute show stoppers, each one. The moment I took that first bite of the Opera Torte, I knew their pastry chef was operating at a whole other level from anywhere else I've been. These were impeccably made and were THE most delicious pastries I've ever tried. There are many more items on the menu that I want to taste, so we will definitely be back.”
“I don’t leave reviews very often but for this restaurant it was needed. We arrived with no reservation and were welcomed by a friendly staff member right away. The first thing I noticed when walking in was how beautiful the main level was which has lots of natural light and many spots for you to sit. This level also has a cute cafe counter where you can go up and order your desired drinks or look inside their pastry case filled with all of their yummy desserts available for purchase. Once we were seated our waitress was very nice and even gave me her opinion on which meal to get when I was deciding between two and let me say, boy was she right! I got the Saumon Benedict and it was phenomenal! I also ordered a Chai Latte and forgot to ask for it to be iced which I normally prefer but was pleasantly surprised to find that their version of a warm Chai was just as delicious. Before leaving we decided that we couldn’t pass up on trying any desserts and I ended up getting the Chocolate Raspberry Dome. All I can say is that it was the best thing ever and now I need one in my life at least once a week. So delicious! Overall, we will definitely be coming back for the good atmosphere and to try more off their robust menu.”
“We love Le Reve for dessert. Finally we tried the dinner on NYE. Excellent service. Hope someone came and refilled our water since our bottle was empty. I agreed with another review that the food doesn’t reflect the price point, both quality and arrangement. My steak was so chewy I had to split them out 6-7 times before I gave up. We paid $300 (2pp) for the meal minus dessert. Quick recommendation: upgrade the silverware, change fries to a steakhouse cut, messed up the service? Comp a drink at least.”
