“Invited in for a collaboration, and still giving my honest, real experience (and I tipped as usual!) This omakase spot is a little different from the traditional ones, instead of classic nigiri, they focus on hand rolls. Each piece is wrapped in crispy seaweed with rice and fresh fish, so it’s a more casual, interactive style of omakase. Personally, I tend to prefer traditional nigiri, so this wasn’t my usual go-to style. But I can definitely see how people who love sushi rolls or hand rolls would really enjoy this. It’s also a great place if you’re looking to try something a bit different from the typical omakase experience.”
“I had the most fabulous experience here. The fish is so fresh and tender it melts in your mouth. Favorite bites were the akami with black garlic and the king salmon with miso and serrano. Service is warm and attentive. Best sushi I’ve had in a long time, can’t wait to come back!”
“Such a cute and cool place. Celebrated my good friends birthday here and we had such a great time. The food was so tasty and just nice holding our rolls munching and chatting away. Music was perfect where we can chat amongst ourselves and with the chef. Lychee drink was a bit stronger but yummy regardless.”
“Went for a relaunch and it was just as good as I remembered. New menu items on the horizon and I was able to get a good sneak peek of. Michelin star chef, Mike Collantes was on hand working his magic and explaining each piece intricately. Good food, great vibes and awesome service, splashed with a culinary lesson of our indulgences.”
“I had a wonderful evening at Chef Michael Collantes’ intimate 10-seat temaki (handroll) bar Sushi Saint in Long Island City last night. We started our meal with the briny cucumber salad and the best lychee martini I have ever had. Both the blue fin tuna with black garlic aoli and the avocado miso lime salmon roll were outstanding. Known for fresh, flavorful ingredients, often imported directly from Japan, Sushi Saint is the destination for dining in LIC! The music was a great mix of 70s disco and contemporary EDM. The service was attentive and courteous, and the atmosphere was simultaneously friendly and chill. Overall, both the vibes and the food were immaculate 10/10!”
