“A Hidden Gem in St. Augustine — Great Food, Gorgeous Setting, and the Best Four-Legged Host Around! The Boathouse has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat in St. Augustine. The outdoor deck overlooking the marsh is beautiful, relaxing, and the perfect place to enjoy a meal while soaking in the Florida scenery. Every dish we ordered was excellent. The fried chicken was unbelievably crispy on the outside while staying juicy and tender inside, served with perfectly cooked fries. The crab cake Benedict was packed with flavorful crab instead of filler, topped with silky poached eggs and a rich hollandaise that tied everything together. The egg could have been runnier. The calamari was light, crispy, and tender—not rubbery at all—and the steamed edamame made for a great appetizer. But the real star of the restaurant has to be Oyster, the resident Boathouse cat. Oyster casually patrols the deck, greets guests, accepts the occasional head scratch, and naps like he owns the place… which, honestly, he probably does. He added so much charm to an already wonderful experience, and my son absolutely loved meeting him. The service was warm and welcoming, the food exceeded our expectations, and the atmosphere was exactly what you hope for when dining on the water. The live music was soft acoustic. Super relaxing, and Ryan loved him! We’ll definitely be back—for the crab cakes, the fried chicken… and, of course, to visit Oyster. 🐈”

“Found a new place that is now one of our favorites when we are in town. Being from the Midwest, enjoying good fresh seafood is always a treat. Lucky we were there on their whole maine lobster special night. DELICIOUS!! Wife had the sushi and loved it. Had cheesey grits foe the first time ever. Omg! Monday is their crab leg special, definitely be back for that. Also, gotta try the lobster bisque. What added to the evening, Abby the hostess was super friendly, and Rachel our server was exceptional!! Super nice, very attentive . And the outdoor seating has great scenery , sits on the water. Will be back often.”

“Beautiful place, the inside is gorgeous with many places to sit along with friendly servers. The food was delicious and looked amazing! My family went for brunch and the beignets were amazing, I’d recommend it to anyone stopping by for brunch. We only had from the brunch menu but it all looked so amazing we’re coming back to try more.”

“Had a Wonderful evening at the BoatHouse! My family and I shared the grilled grouper nuggets and chargrilled oysters both were excellent! For dinner we each had the Tuesday night shrimp special which was also amazing, but what topped the night off was the unbelievable service we got from our bartender AJ. He was very attentive, gave great suggestions and an overall nice guy who really gives great customer service. Thank you AJ! PS the Bread Pudding is FABULOUS! KLR”

“The Boathouse (formally known as St Augustine Fish House & Oyster Company) is cozy little beach inspired upscale restaurant. This restaurant restaurant is located right near the San Sebastian River. Offer fresh seafood boiled, fried, blackened and rolled into sushi. They truly have it all of a seafood lover. There is plenty of seating inside or outside on the patio facing a marsh. There is an adorable little stray cat that even keeps you company. The gator bites and Po Boy were absolutely delicious. However, when it came down to the Charbroiled Oyster we were a huge fan. They seemed a tad bit undercooked and the cheese was thrown on as a second thought. The drinks were delicious and not overly sweet. The staff did make up for it. The young man who served us was absolutely kind and professional. Pricing wise is much like everywhere in St Augustine. There is plenty of parking. All in all, it's a lovely place with an amazing scenery and worth checking out!”
