Lemaire at The Jefferson Hotel

“We enjoyed the Lemaire for dinner as a gift. The Jefferson Hotel is gorgeous southern architecture and provides a high end feel to the restaurant. The greeting on arrival was a bit disappointing but not too annoying. My husband had a smoked Old Fashion, which he said was the best to date. The mussels as appetizer was outstanding. The fennel and tomatoe based sauce was good enough to just sop up with the bread and call it dinner. Those were the best mussels to date. I had the beef tenderloin that was good. My husband had the Halibut with the pepper poppers adding a creative touch. The Tiramasu for dessert was not traditional and a little disappointing. The food was on par with Ruth Chris but the price was way more affordable. This is a lovely celebration spot. Staff was friendly and attentive. We could only get early reservation , so I didn't get a good feel of the atmosphere.”

“Had such an amazing breakfast at Lemaire this Saturday with my family while they were staying there! The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. The hostess, I believe her name was Cambria, was sweet and welcoming the moment we walked in. Our server Sydney was fantastic! She was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Arriving late, shortly before closing, I was pleased to find an open table, and appreciated the friendly, knowledgeable waitress, who carefully outlined the vegan/vegetarian options. In fact, I look forward to returning with my wife, a fellow vegetarian, who will surely enjoy the delicious food and warm ambiance. Pictured is the golden beet salad on a bed for whipped coconut creme, braised red cabbage, and rich, flavorful truffle bucatini.”

“Dinner at Lemaire in the beautiful Jefferson Hotel was one of the best meals I’ve had in Richmond. The space itself is gorgeous—refined and romantic without feeling uptight. The food was incredible. The polenta with chorizo had such a nice contrast between creamy and spicy. We started with raw oysters, and they were so fresh and well-prepared that my girlfriend, who had never tried oysters before, ended up loving them. I had the pork porterhouse, which was super flavorful and paired perfectly with a citrusy green sauce that really lifted the dish. The collard greens with bacon tasted homemade and rich, like something your Southern grandma would make. The salmon was cooked just right—crispy skin, tender inside, and perfectly seasoned. The mocktails were another surprise. Each one had layers of flavor and felt thoughtful and balanced. Honestly, they were fun enough that we didn’t miss having alcohol at all. Lemaire is the kind of place you go when you want to treat yourself to something special. Amazing food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes the night feel like a real occasion”
