There are winemakers who follow a path, and there are winemakers who forge one. McPrice "Mac" Myers is self-taught, tenacious, and widely regarded as one of Paso Robles' most quietly brilliant producers - a man whose winemaking philosophy mirrors his approach to life: dream big, work hard, have fun while making great things happen. Mac produced his first vintage in 2002 and never looked back, growing a portfolio of critically acclaimed wines rooted in the rich terroir of California's Central Coast. His focus is Rhône-style wines that are bold yet balanced, expressive yet approachable - wines that overdeliver on quality with every pour. The McPrice Myers tasting room was designed around sustainability, beauty, and true Paso hospitality, featuring solar-powered design, repurposed shipping containers, and sweeping vineyard views - all nestled in the limestone-rich hills of the Adelaida District, where marine fog and dramatic temperature swings produce wines of remarkable depth and freshness. Come taste for yourself.
“If you’re wine tasting in Paso and skip McPrice Myers Winery… I’m gonna need you to rethink your life choices 😄 This was our second stop of the day and easily one of the most memorable. Katie was our tasting host and she absolutely nailed it — fun, engaging, and the kind of person who makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. No boring scripts here. She connects you to the wine, the process, and the story in a way that actually sticks. And let’s talk about that story… the winemaker was working at Trader Joe’s at 26 when he decided, “why not me?” That leap turned into Barrel 27 — and honestly, you can taste that boldness in every pour. What sets this place apart is the willingness to take risks. They’re blending and showcasing varietals in ways most winemakers wouldn’t touch — and somehow it just works. It’s creative, it’s different, and it’s really, really good. If you’re a red wine lover, this isn’t just a stop… it’s THE stop. 10/10 — would absolutely come back (and probably leave with more bottles than I planned 🍷)”
“We have been very impressed with this new to us winery in Paso. Our first visit we stopped by and enjoyed a tasting on their outdoor area. The staff was very accommodating, we had our dog with us, and treated him to a bowl of water. The wines were fabulous! We enjoyed our visit so much we booked a tasting over the holiday and brought our family. It was even better the second time. I highly recommend trying out their new venue (I love the outdoor space) and wine selection.”
“My favorite winery in my favorite wine region, Paso! I particularly love the F.A. blend and the Paper Street wines they make. McPrice Myers is reasonably priced, and you can even enjoy high quality lower-priced Hard Working wines. I highly recommend this winery for a visit too!”
“We had a great experience at McPrice Myers! We did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate me and my husband with a table with gorgeous views. Jane was our sommelier and she was awesome! The wines were great and we truly enjoyed our experience. We bought a couple bottles that we look forward to drinking. We visit Paso a few times a year and will definitely add this to our list of wineries to visit when we are there. As a bonus, we got to meet McPrice. He was funny and very welcoming. Five star experience!”
“We had the experience of a life time. Billy took us up the top of the hills for a spectacular view and tasting. We felt so special to taste great wine with Billy up there. The wines were superb and our wine server was so knowledgeable and attentive. Of course we purchased this great wine.”
