“Gulia is amazing. Food here is spectacular 😋 yum yum grilled pork chops with yucca. Will come back. Thank you. Updates Went back here tonight with my girlfriend. We has the chicken enchiladas and chicken fajitas. Both are amazing. Don't forget the creme brulee. Yum 😋”
“A fun original restaurant. Love the plants in modern lakefront vibe. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed calamari, fajitas and octopus. Totally delicious! A little pricey, but a great spot for a special occasion.”
“The food and atmosphere was great overall it rate a 4.2 stars. The food was delicious would rate it a 8.5/10 only because their beef skewers were just a tad unseasoned for us, but it was cooked very well. The churros were also a little undercooked with batter still inside. We had ordered the regular edamame beef skewers, Carnitas taco, Carne Asada taci, Barbacoa taco, king, crab tacos, grilled salmon, miso Chilean Seabass, and one order of the Churros. While the Carne Asada and Barbacoa tacos were absolutely delicious. I’d say I could pass on the Carnitas tacos. I would also say I can pass on the beef skewers as they are in my opinion overpriced for the little amount of beef you get and are a little unseasoned. Now the grilled salmon is absolutely to die for I could honestly eat that every day while the salmon is perfectly cooked do you habanero creamer is deliciously paired with it along with the brown lentils, and shallot salad! It was made to perfection. Well, me and my significant other also really loved the miso Chilean sea bass It was just a wee bit too sweet for our liking. The atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant was very nice, cozy, light and airy. We were not able to sit on the patio, but the view was very beautiful with the sunset. I would say the restaurant is just a little bit chilly. Don’t know if it was just busy or there were new workers, but we had noticed that a lot of the other customers who had sat next to us, their orders were mixed up when servers were handing food or drinks to the tables.”
“The other day my friend and I got to try out Macanda. It was our first time dining there and we had a nice experience. The atmosphere was captivating and extremely relaxing, there were wood accents all over and big plants that filled the rooms. We got a table on the Four Seasons patio at 5 pm, it was perfect, we got to watch the sun go down by the lake throughout our stay. The staff was professional and on top of things, as well as overall friendly. For starters, we tried the Arepas, while we weren’t expecting them to taste completely authentic, they didn’t disappoint, along with this we tried the Fried Yuca side, it was great for sharing and pretty delicious. The Honey Bee Espresso Martini is by far one of the best cocktails I’ve tried, balanced and perfectly crafted, I would consider coming back just to order it. For our entrees, we ordered four different tacos, baja fish, tempura shrimp, smoked mushrooms and carne asada. These were all good, nothing revolutionary, but you could probably get similar taste and quality at a small-owned taco place. Along with these, we got a side of the Arroz Verde, we took a bite each and that was about it, it was too much food for us but it was a good bite! To end the night we ordered the Churros to share, served warm with a side of chocolate and caramel, they fulfilled the craving and were pretty delicious, and also paired very well with the last sips of my Martini! Overall, we had a nice time trying Macanda out, I would recommend it for a nicer dinner, my standouts would be the Honey Bee Espresso Martini, Fried Yuca, Carne Asada Taco, and Churros. The four seasons patio makes all the difference, especially on a cold evening!”
“We came here for my friend’s birthday on Sunday night. It took our server 25 min to come over and take our drink order. The entire dining experience took a total of 3 hours for our party of 5, not by our choice. The food came out late, everything was lacking flavor. I ordered the tuna pico roll and it literally tasted like nothing, so strange. Two of the people at the table had their meal comped because their food came out 20 min after ours. The manager also gave us free dessert and some champagne. But honestly I just wish we went somewhere else. The patio was hot and muggy and we all just wanted to go home. For the price, I expected far better.”
