“I wanted to try the only bar in SP that ranked in best 50 bars in the world. My favourite cocktails was cashew ball and curupira from Hall of Frame menu. I like that they change the cocktails concept every year. If you are cocktails lover. This is the place to come when you are in SP.”
“Amazing staff, food, and drinks. Don’t be afraid to wait outside…the hostess provided me with drinks and appetizers while I waited. São Paulo’s best bartender, Wellington, took care of ordering food and making world famous cocktails.”
“Loved this bar! The drinks were great, the staff nice and welcoming. Reservation is required but if you arrive by 19:00 you can get a spot without a problem. It got really busy by 20:00 the time I visited. I liked the food a lot.”
“Had high expectations for this place, given the reviews and high ranking on the top 50 list. It wasn’t bad, it’s a fine bar, but didn’t feel worthy of being on the list at all. Cocktails are nothing special, alcohol feels overpowering in some, and having tried plenty of other top rated bars, this one felt underwhelming on the cocktail-side, again, given the high rating. It seems menu is changing quite a lot, based on the pictures, so hopefully for the bar, it was just a bad menu iteration. We had pre, post and prohibition era inspired menu. Food was just fine, we had some octopus and mushroom fried cake and shrimp wonton. Cakes were average, wonton was good. Service was good, attentive, drinks and food served quickly. However, I have issues with their upselling tactics. Before having time to properly study the menu, we asked for water, and they gave us an option of smaller and larger bottle of water, saying that for two, bigger one is better (300 vs 500ml). Fair point, but 300ml one is local water, 500 is more expensive imported water. Could have been mentioned, as otherwise it feels like they push you to spend more. Similar with food, we were suggested to take fried octopus cakes, as it’s perfect for two, and is daily special. We could have followed up or said no, of course, but again, we trusted the high ranking of the bar. It turned out these cakes were a regular part of the menu, not a daily special, and almost the most expensive item on the menu (around 30USD!), for two pieces that are a few bites. Overall, underwhelming experience, not worthy of the detour.”
“Absolutely overrated - foods, including ramen, were meh at best, the soup/noodle/ingredients you can tell they think it’s fine if they say it’s Japanese. Cocktail, the biggest disappointment, the first one was downright undrinkable (Elegance or something like that), 2nd one I can’t even recall the taste after a few hours - just bad alcohols. Staffs hanging around in a weird manner, overall I struggle to comprehend why they are world top 50 bar if not 5000?!!”
