“We went on opening day and really liked our meal. We could have only had the côte de bœuf and walked away satisfied, but couldn’t resist trying the appetizer sampler and grilled leeks. We enjoyed most of it; that egg aspic seems like an acquired taste that neither my partner nor I really, well, acquired. The knotweed custard tart was quite nice. We’ll definitely be coming back—particularly to sit at the bar, which is where they serve their not-so-secret burger.”
